CREAMY CAJUN SAUSAGE LINGUINE

  • ½ cup Cream Cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup sliced Bell Peppers
  • Chopped Parsley and grated parmesan for topping
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions in salted water till al dente. Strain and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet and add sliced sausages. Cook on medium heat till light brown on both sides. Transfer them to a plate and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining butter to the pan along with garlic. Saute the garlic for a minute or two till fragrant and add all purpose flour. Cook the flour for 1-2 minutes and add cajun spice and oregano. Mix well and then slowly add milk while continuously mixing to make sure there are no lumps. Simmer the sauce till it starts thickening up.
  4. Add cream cheese and bell peppers and simmer for another 3-4 minutes till the cream cheese is combined and the bell peppers are slightly tender, but still crispy. Check for seasoning and add more salt if necessary.
  5. Add back the sausages and cooked linguine and toss everything in the sauce. Top with chopped parsley and grated parmesan if using. Serve immediately!

EASY HOMEMADE RAMEN

Homemade Ramen. This homemade broth is simple to make yet bold and flavorful. Perfect for pouring over some ramen noodles and loading up with your favorite toppings for an easy dinner.


This broth comes together quick and easy and it's so simple to customize. Just saute some aromatics: onion, garlic, ginger, lemongrass. Feeling adventurous? Add in some sliced jalapenos. But be warned, the heat can get intense with just a small amount.

Pour in some chicken stock, or vegetable broth if preferred. Soy sauce, sesame oil and salt. Let it all simmer. Once the broth has simmered for a bit just pour some over the ramen noodles and let them soften and do their thing.

For the toppings you can really do whatever you want. We have done sliced up pork, chicken, beef, in this instance we went for bacon. Toss in some green onion, dried seaweed, and a soft boiled egg for a pretty epic flavor combo. But you can seriously add whatever you want to the ramen once you have the broth going.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger sliced
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 4 green onions diced
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups chicken stock (or broth of choice)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 and ½ tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 packs of ramen noodles (throw out those seasoning packets!!)
Toppings
  • soft boiled egg (I steam my eggs, and anywhere between 7-9 minutes will give a good soft boiled egg depending on how runny you want it. 7 minutes will give a pretty runny egg while 9 minutes gives a more formed center.)
  • green onions sliced
  • cooked bacon
  • dried seaweed

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Pour the olive oil into a large pot and heat over medium heat. Add in the lemongrass, green onion, garlic and ginger. Saute for several minutes until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the stock and water. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil and salt.
  3. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  4. Pour the broth through a fine mesh strainer, leaving you with just the broth.
  5. Place each opened pack of ramen noodles in a bowl. Pour several spoonfuls of broth over the noodles, just enough liquid to cover the noodles.
  6. Allow the noodles to sit for a couple of minutes until they loosen and soften up.
  7. Top with toppings of choice!
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

ASIAGO GARLIC ALFREDO PASTA

You start by melting the butter.  Whisk in the heavy cream and cream cheese.  Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted.  Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian Seasoning, and salt and pepper.  Whisk until smooth.  Add the freshly grated asiago cheese.

HOW DO YOU MAKE ALFREDO SAUCE FROM THE OLIVE GARDEN?
Traditionally alfredo sauce from the olive garden includes cream, garlic, and parmesan cheese.  This recipe includes a few more things but is so much better!

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta (or pasta of choice)
  • 1-pint heavy whipping cream (2 cups)
  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Asiago cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. In a large pot of boiling water, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  2. In a medium saucepan add butter, heavy whipping cream, and cream cheese. Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted. Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add the grated asiago cheese.
  3. Bring to a simmer and continue to cook for about 3-5 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Toss it with your favorite pasta!
