CHERRY PECAN COOKIES

Now that cherries are in season, we’ve been shopping for them often due to the fact they're so scrumptious. these cherry pecan cookies with orange glaze are perfect to make if you love smooth and thick cookies and are a lover of cherries. every cookie is loaded with bits of fresh cherries and pecans, then drizzled with an orange glaze that’s to die for. A delicious mixture that the entire family will love.

CHERRY PECAN COOKIES

the usage of clean cherries is excellent when making those cherry pecan cookies. simply cut every cherry in 1/2, take away the seeds, and then reduce into small pieces so that you have little bits of cherries. Chop the pecans into small pieces and whilst the cherries and pecans are mixed, the tastes is fantastic, specially with the orange glaze drizzled over the top of every cookie.

CHERRY PECAN COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:
For the Cherry Pecan Cookies
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted, chopped into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
For the Orange Glaze
  • 1 cup powder sugar
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest
  • 2-3 Tbsp orange juice, squeezed fresh
INSTRUCTIONS:
For the Cherry Pecan Cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. reduce butter into combination, the usage of a pastry blender, till combination resembles first-class crumbs.
  3. In a small blending bowl, beat egg and then add orange juice. add to flour mixture and stir until included. 
  4. add chopped cherries and pecans. Stir.
  5. using a 1" cookie scoop, drop every cookie onto an ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. 
  6. Bake for eleven-thirteen mins or till bottoms just start to brown. dispose of from oven and location on wire rack to chill. 
For the Orange Glaze
  1. In a small blending bowl, mix powder sugar, orange zest and orange juice together until preferred consistency is reached. Drizzle orange glaze with a spoon over cookies when they have cooled absolutely. 
  2. allow glaze set then revel in!
